Sky News: British military feels ‘underestimated’

Members of the Royal Armed Forces of Great Britain are dissatisfied with the lack of wage indexation against the backdrop of a sharp rise in the cost of living. It has been reported weather.

According to the publication, military families began to experience financial difficulties due to the 10.4 percent increase in the cost of living. At the same time, the increase in the military’s salaries has been delayed and is not expected until July. As Sky News points out, British officials could increase wages “retrospectively”, meaning they could pay the military for months worked.

Unlike other public sector workers, the military says they feel “worthless” because they are legally prohibited from going on strike because they are unhappy with their pay levels.

“When any public sector worker is on strike, while the unions are fighting for their fair share, we have no one, we just pick up the crumbs and we never feel grateful,” one of the soldiers said.
