The Security Service of Ukraine confirmed that it had filed a criminal complaint against the governor of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavel. This was stated by representatives of the Ukrainian department on the page on the social network.

It is announced that the cleric was accused of inciting religious hatred and justifying Russia.

“The SBU filed a criminal complaint against Metropolitan UOC Pavel,” the Ukrainian service said.

It is known that the Metropolitan was charged under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

“At the moment, investigations are being carried out in the places where the accused resides and stays temporarily,” the SBU said.

Saturday, April 1, law enforcement cordoned off Building in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, where Metropolitan Pavel lived. He was placed under house arrest, the investigation continues.

Also at UOC stressfulPavel, governor of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, was summoned for questioning over criticism of the OCU. The building of the Lavra, where the Metropolitan lived, was cordoned off, the police did not let believers in.
