Volgograd and Rostov-on-Don became the leaders in the purchase of sofas from the total number of other goods sold. This is stated in a study by furniture retailer Hoff, available on socialbites.ca. At the same time, the smallest sofas were purchased in Moscow and Krasnodar.
“For the first quarter of 2023, the share of seat sales in chain stores in total sales reached 16%. The leaders in the purchase of such furniture were the southern regions – Volgograd and Rostov-on-Don. In them, the share of sofa sales of all goods reached 21%. The second place in the demand for sofas was taken by Izhevsk (20%). Kazan, Perm and Surgut took third place with 19% each. Krasnodar (16%) and Moscow (14%) have the smallest share in sofa purchases in the total number of goods,” he says.
It is stated that about 25 thousand rubles are spent on sofas in Moscow, Voronezh and Rostov-on-Don, and about 23 thousand rubles in other cities of Russia. According to research, the most popular color for sofas is dark gray, followed by gray.
“Practically in all cities, the dark gray shade has become the absolute leader. Only Orenburg and Voronezh distinguished themselves – they most often bought gray sofas. In second place in popularity in most regions was the gray shade of sofas. And only in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Volgograd honey brown was chosen the most after dark gray, ”the article states.
