In the Bulgarian capital Sofia, police arrested a 17-year-old student who admitted to sending letters about the bombing of educational institutions. It has been reported DEA News.
It was reported that the young man made a confession during the interrogation. According to his testimony, he created four mailboxes that he used to send letters to schools between March 29 and 31.
It was noted that the letters were sent on 27 and 28 March. The city’s prosecutor’s office launched a terrorism investigation after reports of bomb attacks received by dozens of schools, but none were confirmed.
At the same time, Bulgarian Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev said that the main version is a “hybrid attack linked to Russia”.
Formerly anonymous terrorists threatened to explode 12 schools in the unrecognized Transnistria Republic of Moldova.
