A Moscow resident accidentally gave her daughter a tincture of celandine instead of vitamin D3, reports Shot.
According to the news of the Telegram channel, a 43-year-old person living in the Khovrino district in the north of the capital was going to give liquid vitamin D3 to his child. But the woman for some reason confused the bottles and gave her five-year-old daughter a tincture of celandine.
It is stated that this drug is used externally and diluted in the treatment of skin diseases such as dermatitis, psoriasis and eczema. At the same time, the use of the drug is still contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.
The victim drank the vitamin offered by her mother and went to play, but after a while she felt bad. Later, the woman, who was worried about her daughter’s health, called the doctors. As a result, the girl was diagnosed with a “toxic effect of corrosive substances” and was hospitalized.
At the moment the little patient’s condition is satisfactory, his life is no longer in danger.
