Rear Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky, head of the Main Organization and Mobilization Department (GOMU), of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, said during a briefing on spring military service that citizens’ notification will be carried out partially during the spring military service campaign. for the first time electronically, reports TASS.

According to him, the employees of the military commissariat were tasked with electronically informing citizens in preparation for the spring conscription campaign. He explained that in the absence of technical feasibility, the notification will be made by serving the subpoena.

He added that it is the first time that federal, regional and municipal government bodies have transmitted information about soldiers to the Ministry of Defense by copying them electronically and in print media.

Tsimlyansky also said that this year’s mandatory military service will run from April 1 to July 15 and will affect 147,000 Russians aged 18 to 27.

The military announced that young men born in 2006, who will turn 17 in 2023, have been called up to military commissariats.

The admiral also said that conscripts for military service will be sent to points located on the territory of the Russian Federation.
