US Senator Jim Rish from Idaho said he favors escalating relations with Russia in order to increase arms supplies to Ukraine. The politician said this during a discussion on the possibilities of supporting Kiev, reports DEA News.

“I’m not a big fan of the discussion we can’t raise. If you don’t increase the tension, you will lose,” said Rish.

He also noted that he supports the idea of ​​supplying Ukraine with all kinds of weapons, including F-16 warplanes. However, he believes that it is impossible to supply Kiev with nuclear weapons.

Formerly a group of Republican Senators applied To US President Joe Biden, with a request to provide cluster munitions to Kiev. According to them, the consequences of refusing to use cluster munitions are now manifesting themselves on the battlefield near Bakhmut (Russian name – Artemovsk) and elsewhere. The use of cluster munitions is prohibited by an international convention. Russia, the USA and Ukraine did not participate.
