Poll: Russian drivers consider BMW the most dangerous car brand

Disrespect for road users is the main cause of conflict situations on the roads. What situations bother Russian drivers, and who, as a rule, is to blame for them, was shown in the AlfaStrakhovanie survey, the results of which were studied by socialbites.ca.

That’s why the ugliest violations of those polled consider cutting on the road at 26.4%. A little less annoying, rebuilding without turn signals – 17.7%, and a very high speed, significantly higher than permissible – 17.1%. While not complying with the distance causes negativity in 14.5% of drivers, 12.2% do not like those who drive by the side of the road.

Most of the respondents (17.9%) believe that newcomers are the most dangerous people on the road. And one in three people are sure that an aggressive driving style depends only on the character and predisposition of the person.

At the same time, Russians consider BMW the most dangerous brand. One out of every three people in his answer mentioned it. Audi (9.5%) and Skoda (7%) follow. 14.3% of Russians avoid trucks and special equipment on the roads, and 8.3% avoid expensive cars such as Maybach, Rolls Royce, Bentley and others.

The Russians say that the color of the car is also important. Drivers who drive black cars violate traffic rules more often than others – 21.1% responded in this way. 19% are confident that color does not affect violations, and 16% describe yellow cars as dangerous. Another 11% suggest violators are more likely to travel in red cars.

In addition to color, the car’s perception of “danger” is also affected by its condition and appearance. Drivers in the country see loud exhaust as the main sign of an aggressive driver (22.4%). The second most popular sign was bright color (20.6%). The presence of accident scars and broken figures gives reason to rank the car as dangerous for 18.4% of the respondents, and 15.5% completely avoid such cars on the road. Various aggressive car stickers arouse suspicion in 11.5% of survey respondents. And spoilers, fins and other “improvements” – 11.6% more, bright lights – 8.5%, and large-diameter discs – 5.8%.
