We start our first day in Huesca city. The city has a rich history dating back to Roman times during Muslim rule and the Christian medieval period. On the Plaza de Navarra in the center of the city, we can admire the facade of the Círculo Huesca building, also called Casino de Huesca, built at the beginning of the 20th century. We continue along Calle del Coso and walk until we reach the Convent of San Pedro el Viejo, one of the oldest monuments in Huesca, where the Holy Chalice is currently preserved in the Valencia Cathedral. There we can see a mix of architectural styles ranging from Romanesque to Gothic. After visiting the monastery we continue walking along the old town until we reach the town hall square and the Cathedral with a very interesting altar and episcopal museum, we will continue towards the University square where we can visit the Huesca Museum. It has an interesting art collection. After the museum visit, we can enjoy a nice meal at one of the many restaurants in the area.
