A fire broke out in the MT Kristin tanker carrying fuel from Pertamina, off the coast of Indonesia. Three people died. It has been reported Antara.
The tanker caught fire at sea near the city of Mataram. There were a total of 17 crew members on board, most of whom were evacuated by fishing boats.
According to eyewitnesses on the beach, an explosion sounded from the ship, followed by dense smoky flames.
It was stated that the tanker carried 5 thousand 900 kilograms of fuel to be distributed later in the Pertamina warehouse.
