Some of them:
1. Pollution and climate change. People pollute everything we touch. We disrupt the ground, slightly change the planet and attack it with sound. We change the atmosphere, pollute it visually, hydrologically and thermally. We are constantly taking action for this. Among other things, we broadcast on networks, plug in the iron, travel by car or, for example, turn on the air conditioner or heating, emitting large amounts of greenhouse gases that trap infrared radiation from the sun and warm the planet. All this causes temperatures to rise, causes severe droughts and heavy rains, which cause severe flooding, and these, together with the timber industry and agriculture that is still not sustainable enough, are definitively deforestation of the planet. The UN has already said: water, an essential element for life, will be so scarce in the 21st century that it will cause conflicts, wars and dramatic environmental consequences.
2. Energy and waste. We worry about the cost of energy and rightly do not consider the other cost of it. There is no money to be paid for the environmental impact it produces. By the way, there is another highly polluting factor. It’s all about garbage. Cities double the amount they produce each year. Issues like recycling are still utopias. Buying and throwing is the norm. The UN has set a maximum of three years to reverse the current situation. Correct use of energy and reduction of waste are essential. If not, it will be the end.
3. Biodiversity, endangered species and illegal species trade. 150 animal species disappear from the planet every day. Policies to protect them fail to save them. Erosion by humans is the main cause. But we do not discipline. Invasive species brought on by human, poaching and illegal wildlife smuggling, one of the most money-moving businesses in the world, are certainly contributing to the worsening of the situation. Is there a future for the planet?
