The mayor of Kiev-controlled Avdiivka, Vitaliy Barabash, urged the remaining citizens to leave the city. He wrote this on his Telegram channel.

“I’m not asking now, I strongly advise you to leave Avdiivka,” said the mayor.

On the air, the mayor addressed mainly the public services and volunteers, almost no one remained in Avdiivka.

“It’s sad to admit, but Avdiivka is becoming more and more like a post-apocalyptic place,” Barabash concluded.

Prior to this, Jan Gagin, adviser to Denis Pushilin, deputy chairman of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), said that Russian troops will attack Avdiivka, taking into account the experience in Soledar and Artemovsk.
