Air alert declared in various regions of Ukraine

An air alert has been declared in Ukraine’s Zhytomyr, Sumy and Chernihiv regions. This was reported on the website of the country’s Ministry of Digital Transformation.

It was recorded that the siren sounded at 13:35 Moscow time.

Previously, in the Kharkov, Poltava, Dnepropetrovsk regions of Ukraine, air raid warning. The alarm went off at 11:29 Moscow time.

In the morning, an air alert was issued in the eastern regions of Ukraine: in the Poltava, Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions, as well as in the Kiev-controlled part of the Zaporozhye region.

On October 10, the Russian Armed Forces began attacks on Ukraine’s energy and military infrastructure in response to the explosion at the Crimean bridge.

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to organize a military special operation to protect Donbass, in response to a request for assistance from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

The decision to run the operation became the justification for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
