A strong magnetic storm has been going on since its third day on Earth, the level of danger has not dropped in the past day. It gives information about TASS With reference to materials from the Institute of Applied Geophysics (IPG).

“The magnetic storm continues,” the institute’s solar physics service said in a statement.

According to space weather monitoring data, the level of disruption of the planet’s magnetic field remains at G3, which is “strong” on a five-gauge scale, where G5 is extremely strong and G1 is weak.

As stated in the IPG, this value suggests that on Earth, in addition to tangible interference in communications, false alarms may be registered in safety power systems, oil transformers will likely “boil out”, and spacecraft free-steering faults. Additionally, aurorae can be observed with almost any perceptible distortion in Earth’s magnetic field, and they can even be seen in G3 at mid-latitudes.

Previously (IPG) Roshidromet reported on Earth started magnetic storm, one of the strongest in recent years.
