The leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, was awarded the medal “Honored Human Rights Activist of the Chechen Republic”. This was announced by the Republican Commissioner for Human Rights Mansur Soltaev, reports DEA News.
The medal was awarded to Kadyrov for “exceptional service in protecting the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens, courage and honesty in ensuring the national interests of the Chechen people, devotion to traditional values and loyalty to duty”.
According to Soltaev, the first human rights activist of the Chechen people was Akhmat-Khadji Kadyrov, the first president of Chechnya, and now Ramzan Kadyrov is “working” on his path.
Also, the awards were awarded posthumously to Aimani Kadyrova, the first president of Chechnya and the head of the regional public fund named after him.
Former Russian President Vladimir Putin considered worthy Ramzan Kadyrov with the Order of Alexander Nevsky.
