Pulitzer Prize-winning American journalist Seymour Hersh, who published an investigation into the Nord Stream explosions, said he was not surprised by the stupidity of the US officials when he learned that Washington was involved in these events.

He emphasized that he has been conducting such investigations for 50 years and that he is the only person who wrote about the My Lai massacre in Vietnam.
The journalist received a Pulitzer Prize in 1970 for revealing this event and trying to cover up the crime committed during the Vietnam War.
Earlier, Hersh said in an article published Feb. 8, citing his own anonymous source, that during the naval exercise BALTOPS 22, secret U.S. Navy divers planted remotely triggered explosives that destroyed three of the four Nord Stream pipelines.
