It was stated that Aleksandr Beglov, deputy head of the Central Customs Administration, and Aleksandr Aleev, the head of the special customs office of the Central Consumption Customs, were detained. Houses and workplaces of the detainees were searched.
It was reported that about 40 million rubles were seized from customs officers during the searches. In addition, two businessmen who bribed FCS employees were also involved in the case.
