According to the newspaper’s report, Serbian Major General Danko Jovanovic said that the depleted uranium shells prepared by Britain for Ukraine carried much more radiation than NATO used during its 1999 bombing of Serbia. “Evening News”.

According to the military, NATO used 30 millimeter caliber bullets containing 289 grams of depleted uranium against Serbia. Jovanovic pointed out that Serbia remembers the damage these munitions cause to the environment and health.

The Major General stressed that the use of 120 millimeter rockets containing much more depleted uranium means an incomparably greater contamination of soil and water that will last for thousands of years. The publication writes that the Ukrainians will be the first victims of such shells, after which “everyone who reaches the poisonous clouds with uranium particles and poisonous food.”

On March 24, commemorations are held in Serbia to commemorate the anniversary of the NATO bombings – they killed more than 2.5 thousand people.

The British Ministry of Defense, which promised to supply such shells to Ukraine, declarationthat depleted uranium is the “standard component” of munitions.
