Littering with a child prevents him from learning the norms of speech and can lead to the formation of incorrect pronunciation, so you should not distort words when communicating with him. This was told socialbites.ca by Professor Leonid Chutko, head of the Center for Behavioral Neurology, head of the laboratory for correction of mental development and adaptation of the Human Brain Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

“You don’t need to limp with a child, you should use ordinary colloquialism. The child must learn the correct pronunciation. The child tries to imitate the intonation, tempo, rhythm of speech of an adult at the moment of communication. “When communicating with an adult, he takes a sample from it and can model incorrect sound pronunciation,” she explained.

Chutko also added that it is important to communicate with the child more often, smile more, try to understand him, and read aloud more for the timely development of speaking skills.

“The problem is that parents don’t talk much to their children and ‘entrust’ them to the TV or computer. Of course, it is better for the child to spend less time in front of the screen and practice more communication. If you need to occupy the child with something, it is better to use audio recordings in which songs and texts change: fairy tales, for example, ”he said.
