“Analysis of climate data and forecast developments <…> It is permissible with a 65-70% probability that in April-September 2023, the temperature regime is expected to be close to and above the average multi-year values in most of the territory of Russia.
At the same time, Roshidromet announced that positive temperature anomalies are very likely in the north of Yakutia, as well as in the federal regions of Siberia and the Ural. Similar temperature fluctuations are possible in the European part of the country in some months. It was also noted that conditions may arise for the early start of the fire season in the regions of the North Caucasus, in the south of the Far East, in Siberia, Volga and Central federal regions.
The section’s message further states that the forecast is probabilistic in nature and will be adjusted and improved over time.
Formerly Ministry of Emergencies warned About floods in parts of Russia. The estimate of the Ministry of Emergencies includes subjects of the Central (Tver, Smolensk, Kaluga, Vladimir and Moscow regions) and North-West (Leningrad, Pskov and Novgorod regions) federal districts. Currently, flooding is observed in 18 regions.
