The crews of the Osa and Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems of the air defense of the Pacific Fleet include the troops of the Eastern Military District, which was stationed in the South Donetsk direction during a special military operation. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the military department, operators of short-range Igla portable anti-aircraft systems are also on permanent combat duty.

“One of the main tasks of anti-aircraft artillery is the fight against enemy drones. More than 150 air targets destroyed due to just one battery”.

The senior operator of the Osa air defense system with the Groot call sign said that anti-aircraft gunners should shoot down a large number of corrective and attack aircraft, primarily Furies flying at an altitude of 100 to 5,000 meters.

“Finding them is not difficult, since the complex is equipped with everything necessary to detect them,” said the head of calculations of the Osa air defense system with the Kozak callsign.

According to him, in addition to drones, the Osa team successfully shot down the Ukrainian plane – a Su-25, flying from the direction of Vugledar at an altitude of 2 thousand meters, was destroyed a few days ago.

Earlier, the head of the press center of the Yug group, Ivan Bigma, said that Russian missiles in the Donetsk direction destroyed about 10 soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and two combat vehicles belonging to the Grad multiple launch rocket system.

The blow to the Ukrainian positions was delivered by the crews of the Uragan multiple launch rocket system of the Southern Military District artillery unit.
