Popov pointed out that there has always been a dilemma for thermal imaging tools – either to have a wide field of view or to provide high image detail.

“We thought that integrating a “flying thermal camera” into the ground surveillance system would allow us to solve this dilemma in a non-standard and rather elegant way,” the expert emphasized.

The new reconnaissance complex has a unified control system and image acquisition with output to a single monitor. Blockpost-4T can detect people at distances up to 800 meters and cars at distances up to 2,000 meters.

The complex has built-in analytics, highlighting detected objects on the screen and showing them to the operator. The operator sends the drone to the point. Target recognition is carried out by an unmanned thermal imaging system at distances up to six kilometers.

The complex has been successfully tested.
