Finland has been named the happiest country in the world for the sixth time in a row. This is stated on Earth report About happiness prepared by a group of experts commissioned by the United Nations (UN).
When developing a document, experts pay attention to the main components: income of the population, health, social support, level of freedom, generosity and absence of corruption.
It is stated that in 2023 Finland is significantly ahead of “competitors”. The list includes the northern European country as well as Denmark, Iceland, Israel and the Netherlands.
The top ten also includes Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Luxembourg and New Zealand. Russia took only 70th place, and Ukraine – 93rd.
At the same time, Afghanistan (137th place) and Lebanon (136th place) are considered the most unfortunate countries in the world.
