Bryansk Region Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz said in his speech: telegraph channelHe said 17 additional checkpoints will be built in the border areas of the region.

According to him, the corresponding decision was taken at a meeting of the local operational headquarters.

He said he himself visited several checkpoints already built on Sunday (March 19th).

“In the near future, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Guard will take over their services,” he said.

As Bogomaz points out, checkpoints are being built “to make those living in the border areas feel safer, and with them the residents of the Bryansk region.”
