A Durex study found that women, on average, experience four times fewer orgasms than sexually active men. It has been reported The Huffington Post.
Two thousand adults participated in the survey. The analysis showed that only 5% of women and 20% of men always orgasm during sex.
At the same time, 40% of sexually active women and 12% of men reported never or very rarely reaching orgasm during penetrative sex.
Also in the UK, 43% of women and 32% of men have faked an orgasm at least once in their lives to avoid hurting their partner’s feelings or ending sex.
In a review for Durex, sex expert Alix Fox recommends spending time with foreplay, using sex toys (19% of women cited it as one of the most likely ways to achieve orgasm), and talking to your partner about their desires. These activities can increase the chances of both partners achieving orgasm.
