Psychologists recorded a large number of requests for help after the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine. About it in the broadcast of the radio station “Moscow Talks” said clinical psychologist, gestalt therapist Irina Smolyarchuk.
According to him, at the beginning of the SVO, people tried to determine their view of what was happening, turned to psychologists, tried to “maintain health” and avoid mental disorders.
The expert noted that despite the uncertainty in society, not everyone can continue to live normally. When a person finds himself in unstable situations, he loses his “support” and the brain tries to find this “support”.
“So, one has to say: I’m either in a positive position, or in a negative position, or in a neutral position. A person must choose a position, otherwise he will not be able to maintain his psychological health, ”shared Smolyarchuk.
