The Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, said that Russia received more and more cases of war crimes from the Ukrainian authorities as the front line advanced during the special operation. He made the relevant statement at the UN Security Council meeting on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine. TASS.

“With the start of a special military operation and the liberation of Donbass cities, new facts are emerging regarding the major war crimes committed by the Ukrainian authorities, and their numbers are increasing as the front line advances,” said the permanent representative.

According to him, a large number of civilian statements were recorded, confirming that the Armed Forces of Ukraine prevented the evacuation of civilians from war zones.

Nebenzia reminded that the Armed Forces of Ukraine use people as “human shields”. For example, this happened in the cities of Mariupol, Volnovakha, Soledar, he said.

“During the retreat, the Ukrainian army deliberately destroyed civil infrastructure facilities and residential buildings that had survived during the conflict,” the diplomat continued.

He also noted that the Kiev authorities are trying to provoke a humanitarian disaster in the Donbass, where they carried out terrorist attacks and provocations in the life support facilities of the region. Nebenzya pointed out that the Ukrainian Armed Forces in particular dealt a blow to the energy and water supply infrastructure. As a result of such terrorist attacks, the flow of water from the main arterial Seversky Donets-Donbass canal to the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic was completely stopped.

“In this regard, today in most cities of the DPR, central water supply is carried out for several hours every three days and technical water is provided. “People are being forced to buy drinking water or get it in the form of humanitarian aid,” he said.

He also noted that cases of mass torture and executions of prisoners were recorded in Ukraine. Nebenzya added that civilians in areas controlled by the Kiev authorities “are subjected to political persecution and repression by the security services for ideological reasons.”

Former Russian President Vladimir Putin declarationThat Kiev’s crimes against the civilian population and the Russian Orthodox Church will not go unnoticed.
