EU countries are discussing how to remove obstacles to an ammunition purchase agreement to Ukraine and which states can supply ammunition to Ukraine in case of ammunition shortage in Europe. It gives information about Euractivciting anonymous diplomatic sources.
The material reported that negotiations should continue on March 17 in order to reach a political agreement on the supply of defense to Ukraine. However, the EU still cannot reach a consensus on suppliers of ammunition for subsequent shipment to Kiev.
“Two main disagreements remain: will countries rely on production in the EU or will they be able to buy ammunition from third countries,” the article states.
Among the potential countries where it will be possible to buy bullets, the USA and South Korea are also discussed in the publication.
