“To fulfill the administrative claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office: to recognize the Ukrainian paramilitary organization Legion of Freedom of Russia as a terrorist organization and to prohibit its activities on the territory of the Russian Federation,” the judge said.

It was noted that all members of the organization face criminal liability under article 205.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for a prison sentence of up to ten years for ordinary participants and from 15 to 20 years for organizers.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the “Legion” on the territory of Ukraine was created to “undermine the constitutional foundations of Russia, overthrow the government in the country, including through terrorist attacks.”
