Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko appealed to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky demanding that he dismiss all conscripts, including those whose emergency military service ended three years ago. His words were taken from the Telegram channel of the 5.ua TV channel.

“I ask you to send all conscripts to reserve as soon as possible, especially for those whose service has ended,” he said.

Goncharenko noted that currently conscripts are not transferred to the reserve, they are given more than five days off, they are stripped of their civilian salaries and they are not paid for being behind.

According to the MP, 66% of those conscripted into the Ukrainian army have already served their sentences, but their demobilization has been postponed indefinitely. He also stressed that while the military’s salary is more than 20,000 hryvnia ($545), conscripts have “limited entitlements” as they have monetary allowances of 500 hryvnia ($14).

Earlier, it was reported that an employee of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was detained on suspicion of corruption. According to researchers, man was filmed Deserters from the military record for $9,000.
