He noted that technological impurities, sweeteners and sugar can be seen in the composition of ordinary white and black bread. Therefore, in the case of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, the amount of such bread in the diet should be especially controlled.

“Excessive consumption of simple carbohydrates, including a regular loaf of bread or French baguette, adversely affects the condition of blood vessels,” warned Angelina Vodolazka.

At the same time, even a person with diabetes can add the right whole grain bread to the diet. But only if he controls how much bread he eats.

“The danger of bread from premium flour lies in the fact that when the grain is processed, valuable components for the body are removed from its composition. Only starch remains in the composition of this type of flour. This is the reason for consequences such as the notorious eruption of diabetes, which continues to grow even today, ”said the endocrinologist.

For a rational and balanced diet, the expert added that it is worth choosing bread with a healthy composition. They contain whole grains or whole wheat flour and dietary fiber. These breads have a low glycemic index. They can help with weight control, thanks to fortification with dietary fiber.
