Rosneft talked about the company’s contribution to the development of domestic autotourism

The issue of the development of domestic automobile tourism is an important topic for Rosneft – the company believes that for the successful operation of a modern network of gas stations, it is no longer enough just to sell fuel, but to provide many related services and services. Dmitry Shishonkov, Director General of JSC RN-Moscow (part of Rosneft), spoke about this at the international tourism exhibition Intourmarket-2023.

Speaking at the roundtable, “Prospects for autotourism. What do passengers need on the road” Dmitry Shishonkov pointed out that the most important criterion for traveling by car is the availability of high-quality fuel at gas stations in the regions where drivers’ travel routes pass.

At present, as Shishonkov emphasized, the gas station is a multifunctional filling complex that provides related products, various services and a high level of service.

“For car enthusiasts, it’s important to be able to relax and refresh the quality during a break,” he says, including the opportunity to shower and take a break for the night.

According to him, this not only makes traveling by car comfortable, but also contributes to the development of autotourism in the regions where it is located.

The head of RN-Moscow said that Rosneft has implemented such an integrated approach within the framework of the new gas station format under its own brand, Zerno.

According to preliminary estimates, the new format will be used at more than 1,000 gas stations over the next three years.

Shishonkov noted that for a car traveler it is now important not only cozy cafes, recreation and service areas, but also new forms of service – road pharmacies, financial supermarkets, mobile food trucks. According to him, great attention should be paid to the development of a mobile application.

The head of the company believes that thanks to this development in infrastructure, autotourism has become convenient and comfortable, its popularity is growing, and automobile tourist traffic is changing accordingly.

At the same time, he emphasized that with the increasing popularity of automobile tourism, the responsibility of the oil company towards the environment has increased, the requirements for gas stations and the products sold to be environmentally friendly. One component of the environmental contribution, according to Shishonkov, is the introduction of a network of charging stations for electric vehicles.
