The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) declassified information about the participation of Lithuanian nationalists in the executions of civilians during the Great Patriotic War. Reported by the Public Relations Center (DSP) FSB.

According to the ministry, Nazi Germany’s troops attracted Baltic nationalists from among the local population for “dirty work”. They took part in punitive operations against civilians, Soviet prisoners of war and Jews.

“The facts regarding the persecution of Lithuanian nationalists are in the protocol of the interrogation of the arrested Lithuanian German PAVLAITIS of August 12, 1944, and the occupation authorities and accomplices in the town of Serey, 11th Lithuanian SSR,” he says.
