Tests are the most popular interactive activity on media platforms, with 38% of Russians having a positive attitude towards gaming on online media sites. Analysts of the media holding Rambler&Co came to such conclusions after studying the opinions of more than 250,000 users.
For the majority of respondents, mobile games on online media sites are a way to pass the time or have fun. Even those who do not consider themselves a gamer do not hesitate to put three balls in a row, collect coins or take tests.
41% of respondents prefer mobile games with simple mechanics for gadgets or PC browsers. 37% appreciate them for the opportunity to pass the time. They help 23% of the participants relax, 16% have fun, and 13% develop reaction and attention. 11% start games to distract their attention from difficult topics.
The most popular interactive activity on media sites are quizzes; One-third of respondents pass them. Slightly less readers will devote their intelligence to “smart” games – chess, puzzles, etc. The next popularity is entertainment based on games of the past – Tetris, “snake”. The rest of love takes the test with the choice of the right answer.
Nearly a third of those who admitted to being indifferent to gaming on online media sites would choose reading or music over gaming, almost the same number of respondents answered that they were not interested in playing games in any format, slightly fewer respondents agreed: they don’t have enough time for it, backtracking the rest reported that they only like full-length games on consoles or PC.
At the same time, half of all viewers – gamers and casual readers alike – are interested in having a section in their favorite media with games and interactive entertainment. Of these, 22% are sure that it will reduce the reading process, 17% believe it can be used to present information in a new way, 13% believe they will play for the sake of a good mood. When visiting media sites, 48% of users are distracted by nothing but the main content.
