A third of Russians admit to being addicted to coffee

43% of Russians admitted that they could not go a day without a cup of coffee (or even a few), while 42% admitted that they drink coffee periodically as needed. Such data was obtained during the joint work of the online health management service Budu and the Research Center Zarplaty.ru.

“socialbites.ca” got acquainted with the results of the study.

Thus, 53% of respondents said they drink 1 to 2 cups of coffee a day, while 40% said they drink 3 to 4 cups of coffee.

We also managed to find out that 57% spend on coffee up to 1 thousand rubles per month, 38% – from 1 to 3 thousand rubles.

More than half of Russians use caffeine to feel energized (69%) and to enjoy it (66%) because of their love for the drink. 43% use coffee to cheer themselves up. A fifth of those surveyed use caffeine to improve their well-being (for example, with low blood pressure to return it to normal values). Another 19% drink coffee with their co-workers, and 13% drink coffee as a distraction or to kill time at work.

Although 43% of respondents indicated an increase in productivity and working speed, for 30% a cup of coffee causes a malfunction after a while.

71% of Russians believe that coffee can only harm the body when consumed in high doses. However, some participants still experienced side effects after caffeine. In a quarter of those surveyed, blood pressure rises after coffee or vice versa. 13% complained of headache, 12% complained of gastrointestinal discomfort (heartburn, nausea), and 11% experienced insomnia.

Regular caffeine use has become an integral habit for a third of respondents, believing they are addicted to coffee.
