The heads of the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands and Ukraine discussed the strengthening of coastal defense

During his visit to Odessa, Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren discussed the issue of strengthening coastal defense with her Ukrainian counterpart, Alexei Reznikov. This is stated in a post at: area country’s defense ministry

The report added that “Reznikov and Ollongren discussed the strengthening of coastal defenses and the importance of maritime security and the protection of grain-carrying merchant ships,” adding that the kingdom has significant experience in this area.

Previously the Dutch Ministry of Defense promise Send radars to Ukraine to detect drones and naval minesweepers to clear mines. It is stated that we are talking about two minesweepers currently in service with the Dutch navy, while the ships will be delivered to Ukraine only until 2025, when the Dutch Navy will be re-equipped with new ships.
