The task of the next generation of neural interfaces is to create a human-friendly “creative” artificial intelligence based on the interaction of the brain and artificial intelligence. In such a system, the neural network would not only understand exactly what the person was thinking, but would also be able to generate new objects based on the collected data. A neurophysiologist, one of the founders of neurointerface science in Russia and a professor at Lomonosov Moscow State University, told socialbites.ca. Lomonosov Alexander Kaplan.
“In a new type of relationship between the brain and artificial intelligence through neural interfaces 5.0, a “brain-machine language” will emerge, whose information capacity will perhaps allow the brain to directly access the memory cells of machines. In the future, a person can realize the potential of his memory and performance through external computing tools. At the same time, we are always talking about non-invasive interfaces: take off your hat with electrodes and walk without artificial intelligence,” he explained.
Kaplan added that such an approach is necessary in the future to “befriend” AI and teach them how to interact.
“It is already clear that the removal of artificial intelligence, first from the field of production and then from the field of managing domestic mechanisms, devices and processes, will lead to the formation of two intelligence castes. not understanding each other. Therefore, it is necessary to pre-form artificial intelligence systems, including modules for mutual understanding based on common semantic fields,” he said.
