For the treatment of infertility, the Kiev clinic offered free sperm freezing to soldiers and officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in case of death or serious injury. It has been reported from the inside.
According to the publication, such a proposal allows the Ukrainian military “to have children if they are seriously injured on the battlefield or die in battle.”
The chief physician of the clinic, Galina Strelko, believes that such a service can give confidence and provide psychological support to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in combat.
Additionally, Strelko pointed out that soldiers may experience fatigue, overheating or hypothermia on the battlefield, which “can also affect their ability to naturally reproduce.”
It is recorded that 5-6 military personnel benefit from the free sperm storage service every week. The clinic also offers free cryopreservation and IVF services to couples who are enlisting in the military.
