According to the press service of the humanitarian organization, the action of the Russian Red Cross (RKK) will take place in 55 regions of the country, from March 22 to 25, to coincide with World Tuberculosis Day.

For four days, interactive and educational events will be held in different cities of Russia: themed evenings and multimedia lessons, meetings with experts and thematic film screenings.

“Tuberculosis is a dangerous contagious disease and the Russian Red Cross’s All-Russian action is primarily aimed at making as many people as possible aware of prevention and early detection methods. We will also hold separate classes for parents where our experts and subject matter experts will talk about how to protect children from this disease. ”said Victoria Makarchuk, First Vice-President of the RRC.

The press service of the humanitarian organization explained that the campaign also includes activities for children. While adults listen to the conferences on theme nights, children can participate in interactive games and quizzes on tuberculosis prevention and health, and also hold workshops on making white daisies, the symbol of the fight against tuberculosis.

Thematic evenings will be held at RKK regional offices, public spaces and schools.

In addition, the work of mobile fluorographers will be organized together with health institutions in 22 regions of the country. They will be located in public places: parks, train stations, shopping centers and others. Thus, anyone who has not had fluorography for more than a year will be able to control their health.

A health quiz will be held for children and adolescents under the age of 18 who are hospitalized in the pediatric services of the fight against tuberculosis dispensaries. Patients over the age of 18 can attend meetings with specialists.
