Vladivostok Mayor Konstantin Shestakov urged business leaders to transfer employees to remote work on March 13 due to the snowfall. It has been reported DEA News.

“Our call to employers in Vladivostok: make a decision to transfer workers to remote work tomorrow, Monday,” Shestakov said.

He stressed that, according to the weather forecast, heavy snow will begin around 7:00 p.m. (12.00 Moscow time) and “will last until at least 3:00 PM on Monday (20:00 Moscow time on Sunday)”.

Earlier, the city government reported that classes in the classrooms of municipal schools in Vladivostok were canceled on March 13 due to snowfall, free attendance was announced in kindergartens.

This decision was made by the operational headquarters.

On Sunday, heavy trucks were banned from entering the city due to snowfall, traffic was also closed for all types of transport on Kapitan Shefner Street, one of the steepest slopes in Vladivostok, traffic police posts were placed at the main entrances of the city. 154 special vehicles of the municipal enterprise “Care of urban areas” work on the roads.
