Scientists find what kind of blood pressure is dangerous for teens

The new study involved 1856 teenagers. Their heart function and blood pressure were evaluated at age 17, and then the studies were repeated when they were 24 years old. The researchers found it at a pressure of 130/85 mm Hg, taking into account other factors (gender, age, obesity and other diseases). Art. heart damage occurs in both men and women.

Signs of structural damage to the heart are left ventricular hypertrophy and high relative wall thickness, while signs of cardiac dysfunction are left ventricular diastolic dysfunction and increased left ventricular filling pressure.

The new data means that doctors and others need to raise awareness of high blood pressure and the critical danger that hypertension poses to young people. Additionally, blood pressure screening in adolescents can significantly reduce the number of hypertension-related emergencies in adulthood.
