The deal was signed after the UN arms embargo, which banned Iran from purchasing conventional weapons, expired, IRNA reported.
The permanent mission of Iran said that after the lifting of the embargo in October 2020, attempts were made to purchase Su-35 aircraft from Russia, now “finally this procedure has been completed”.
The diplomatic department did not specify how many fighters will be delivered from Russia. According to Iranian media, we are talking about 24 fighters.
