The All-Russian photo contest among media journalists from the special military operation zone, organized by the Rossiya Segodnya media group, begins on March 13. This was announced by the General Director of the media group Dmitry Kiselev.

According to Kiselyov, the main purpose of the competition is “to create a military chronology of the exploits of our time.”

“We’re trying to show the success of a doctor who saves lives, a builder who builds homes for civilians, a teacher protecting children under fire, as well as the success of our heroic army and volunteers at arms.” said.

The general director of the media group stressed that Russia Today followed in the footsteps of his predecessor, Sovinformburo, whose war correspondents kept a unique record of the success of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War.

“We also open the doors to all journalists of the Russian media. “We offer a unique opportunity to join forces and show all the truth and heroism of our people with photographs,” he said.

Photojournalists will be able to showcase their skills in the “Single Photo” and “Photo Series” categories that showcase the daily lives of CBO participants. The photos of the competition will be devoted to two main topics: the military duty of military personnel and volunteers, as well as the work of volunteers and civilians aimed at restoring the new regions of Russia.

Photo materials will be accepted until April 27. The award ceremony will be held in the summer of 2023. The work of the award winners will be presented in a large-scale photography exhibition and combined in an author’s album.
