The Moscow City Court sentenced the political scientist Demuri Voronin to 13 years and 3 months in prison, who took part in one of the episodes of the trial of the former head of Roskosmos, adviser Ivan Safronov. TASS referring to the court.

Safronov remained an employee of Roskosmos after his detention – this happened more than two and a half years ago – but did not receive a salary. Absences were recorded in Safronov’s timeline.
Safronov was detained in July 2020. Two are charged with treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The FSB reported that it was charged with passing on classified information on Russian military-technical cooperation. The convict dealt with military and space issues at Vedomosti and Kommersant before moving to Roscosmos. Safronov did not admit his guilt, emphasizing that he was engaged only in journalistic activities.
