Guardian: Sunak confident that Australia will prefer British subs to American submarines

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak expects Australia to prefer British nuclear submarines to American submarines. It has been reported Guard.

The publication states that Sunak will go to the USA on March 13 to meet with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and US President Joe Biden.

Australia is faced with a choice between a British and American project based on existing Astute or Virginia class submarines. According to an unnamed minister, Sunak told his government colleagues he was satisfied with the outcome of 1.5 years of negotiations.

According to a source, the deal is turning in Britain’s favour, and Altar “was overjoyed, smiling and jumping when he told the ministers about it.”
