Today, March 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin presented Russian women with state awards for their outstanding service. Alexei Martynov, Director of the Institute of Recent Situations, commented on the speech of the head of state.
“Today, an award ceremony was held for Russian women for their outstanding service, and the president also congratulated all women in the country on March 8. President Putin conveyed his words of congratulation with his distinctive demeanor. He expressed his gratitude that all of us were born thanks to a woman.”
Martynov also emphasized that the head of state selects the heroic women who are currently participating in a special military operation and those who help and support Russia in other ways.
“This is not just today, March 8 in general, in the last decades a lot of attention has been paid to motherhood and childhood in the country. I mean Putin’s domestic policy. Many programs have been launched to support families, families with children. It starts with maternity capital, which already supports families very well, and ends with the return of mother-hero status. In the meantime, many awards have been made today,” he said.
For him, today’s holiday was no exception in this sense. He emphasized that now is a special year and therefore accents are very special.
“It’s hard to overstate the role of women. Putin, as always, boldly but very clearly noted all this. I think it was very important for all women of our country to hear these warm words, as well as for the women in the hall.”
