Alternative methods of treating helminthiasis can be not only useless, but also dangerous. In addition, trying to get rid of parasites in this way wastes time and allows the disease to progress. This was told to socialbites.ca by a professor from the Institute of Medical Parasitology, Tropical and Vector-borne Diseases. EI Marcinov Sechenov University, doctor of medical sciences, parasitologist Yevgeny Morozov.
“For example, garlic enemas or garlic suppositories – with their help, you can really burn the intestinal mucosa of a person. There is a problem with folk methods of treating parasitic diseases, and it is huge. But if a person really has parasites in his body, if he did not diagnose them himself, based on advice from the Internet, he will simply waste time – then he will still have to be treated by the usual means. It is selected one by one depending on which class the detected helminth belongs to, how old the patient is, and what body weight is.”
