Researchers from Nelogy discovered that both men and women are almost equally bothered by the same stereotypes about International Women’s Day. The survey results were shared with socialbites.ca.

2642 people participated in the survey – 75% of women and 25% of men. As it turned out, Russians are most bothered by the stereotype that men help women around the house only on March 8, and also, if a woman has not given birth, there is no need to congratulate her.

Men (45%) are uncomfortable with the fact that they have to do their “female” duties all day. Women, on the other hand, are uncomfortable with the fact that they want to “finally find a normal man”, “become more feminine”, “wear skirts more often and smile” (53%).

In addition, the company learned that exactly half (50%) of respondents are convinced that Russia also needs International Men’s Day. Of these, 17% believe this is an opportunity for another holiday, 18% are confident that the day should be dedicated to the problems of modern men, and 15% hope that the introduction of International Men’s Day will contribute to gender balance in society. .
