The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, said that every Ukrainian should have a firearm, and the culture of the military profession should become a trend. Reznikov said this in an interview with the Ukrainian version of the League.
“When the enemy finds out that every adult Ukrainian can pick up a machine gun from under his bed and resist, he will think ten times,” said the minister.
The head of the Ukrainian defense ministry believes that every man from the age of 18 should take special training courses in shooting, tactical medicine and engineering training.
“Then he studies with whomever he wants, but goes to monthly specialization courses once a year. If you want to be a machine gunner, evolve as a machine gunner. “If you want to be a drone operator, go ahead,” Reznikov said.
He also stressed that all Ukrainians should visit the shooting range.
“There should be shooting ranges so that everyone can use firearms skillfully,” said the minister.
Also, Reznikov noted that military departments in higher education institutions should continue their work in the country. He noted that he discussed this issue with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and agreed on it.
“It’s written in our plan. This is one of the elements of the legislative changes we are ready to make. This clearly fits with the president’s stance, we talked about it with him,” he concluded.
Earlier, Alexey Reznikov said that Western countries sooner or later to put Ukrainian army fighters.
