The head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, listened to the reports of the group commanders on the current situation in the area of special military operations in their area of responsibility. This was expressed by representatives of the Russian military department.
As noted, Shoigu, as part of his work at the headquarters of the joint group of Russian troops, heard reports about the current situation from the group commanders.
In addition, the Russian minister received information about the further action plans of the heads of departments.
Shoigu also noted the creation of all necessary conditions for the safe deployment of personnel in the field.
On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to organize a special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request for assistance from the heads of the LPR and DPR.
